In this workshop, you will start from making your own dough, then you will learn rolling it into a parantha and then shallow frying it with ghee. We will try it along with different pickles, butter and also with yoghurt. There are endless ways that you can include this healthy bread into your diet and also fuse it with your own cuisine.
01.12.2019 , 11:00 – 13:30 | Workshop „How to make your own Indian bread: The world of Parantha (english)“
Parantha is a whole-wheat bread commonly eaten as breakfast in the north of India and also in my home in Berlin. It is mostly made with whole wheat flour. Fibre-rich parantha is a great way to kickstart your day. It can be made plain with just oil, salt and pepper and also with the stuffing of potatoes, onion, Paneer, Chickpea flour or many other things.
Nistha’s interest in healthy cooking started when she was struggling to stay healthy. She tried new recipes day and night, read numerous books on food and deeply studied the process of cooking.
Before moving to Berlin, Nistha stayed in the beautiful city of Seoul for almost 4 years. There, she organized cooking classes, cultural events and even worked at restaurants and along with event management companies. She also blogs about nutrition and health.
